What are Cubs?

Cubs are wi-fi buttons that are designed for parents to easily and quickly log activities such as breastfeeding, sleep, diapers and vitamins. Each Cub tracks a single activity so that they can be conveniently placed to where the activity happens. Our design makes the logging process supereasy so that anyone (nannies, grandparents, older siblings) can log without getting distracted by a phone. The screens present information about previous activities so that everyone is involved in the care tracking process.

How does the Cubtale mobile app work?

The logs that are sent to the mobile app can be viewed in graphical views so that parents can see patterns, better understand child routines, and get notified when an activity is missed. Cubtale app is also great for remote parents with caregivers in the home, so that you can see exactly how much milk, or how much sleep your baby had while you were away.

How do Cubs work?

Each Cub comes with a CubPad. Once you insert the CubPad on your Cub and sync with the app, your device will start tracking the specific activity displayed on your CubPad.

The Cub and the CubPad

There are three buttons on you CubPad. Center buttons on the CubPad is used to display the time passed since last entry as well as quick insights and averages.. This way you can track how long ago an activity was done. The center button is also used to save an entry and synchronize the entry with the mobile app.

Depending on the type of usage, the right and left buttons have different responsibilities. 

1. Sleep CubStart the stopwatch by pushing the PLAY and pause the stopwatch by pushing the PAUSE button on the CubPad. To save and synchronize your entry with the app, push the center button. 

2. Bottle and Pump Cubs:  Adjust the amount that you want to log by using the +/- buttons on the CubPad. Once you have the amount set and you are ready to log, push the center button.

3. Diaper and Vitamin Cubs: Each side of the CubPad is dedicated to an activity (Pee & Poo or Vitamin & Medicine). Push the activity you'd like to log, and then the center button to synchronize with the app.

What if I loose my Wi-Fi connection?

If you lose your Wi-Fi connection, Cubtale will keep data stored in memory. Cubtale can keep up to 5 records in memory and synchronize the records once your Wi-Fi is back.

Can I log from my phone?

Yes! You can always use Cubtale mobile app to continue logging on-the-go.

How do CubPads work?

We understand care tracking needs change over time. When you are done tracking a certain activity and want to switch to tracking something else (i.e. done bottle feeding and want to track solids), you can simply replace your CubPad with a new one and make your device turn into a solids tracker. That way you do not need to throw away the device.

Cubs are designed so that CubPads cannot be easily detached and removed by small children. To detach a CubPad, remove the batteries, and insert a paper clip or a SIM-eject tool into the hole at the back of the device.

How to remove CubPads

 How do I add another user to my account?

Each app user is given a Co-Host code (can be found under settings). When a primary profile owner wants to share the care receiver profile with others;

1- Secondary account owner will download the Cubtale app, go to settings and share the Co-Host code with the primary account owner.

2- Primary owner will add the secondary owner's Co-Host code under Co-Hosts section in the app.

Can both parents view activities simultaneously via smartphones?

Yes, both parents can see real-time activities logged via smartphones simultaneously. All you need to do is subscribe to notifications after sharing your account.

How do we use Cubtale for twins?

We recommend purchasing two sets of cubs for twins (soon we will have different colors so you can also create profiles on our app with matching colors).

What batteries do I need for the Cubs?

Cubs are operated with two Lir2450 rechargeable coin batteries. We recommend keeping a spare pair of charged Lir2450 batteries, so that you can quickly replace the batteries when time comes. Due to Cubs possible proximity to children, for security reasons, Cub battery lids require screws. 

Which devices are compatible with the Cubtale App?

Cubtale is compatible with Android (running 4.1 or later) and iOS platforms (running iOS 13.0 or later).

Is Cubtale compatible with tablets?

We do not offer tablet compatible apps at the moment. 

Is Cubtale a medical device?

Cubtale is not an FDA-approved medical device, and is intended to be used to assist you with tracking your babies care activities. It does not and is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, alleviate or prevent any disease or health condition or investigate, replace or modify anatomy or any physiological process.

Can I export my data?

Yes, you can export your data from the app. We offer .csv export files as well as .pdf reports designed for pediatricians and consultants.

Is there a Breastfeeding Cub?

Yes, Breastfeeding Cub is coming soon. We know this is the preferred method especially for those parents that are concerned with exposing children to RF radiation. Cubtale is significantly less radiation compared to mobile phones.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely, we keep all data encrypted and your data is stored securely. We use the industry standard data platforms to store your data, and can provide more information on data security upon request. Please email us at info@cubtale.com.

How do I deactivate my account?

You can delete the profile you created from within the Cubtale mobile app. If you'd like to deactivate the account, please send us an email at info@cubtale.com, and we will deactivate your account immediately.

How do I reset my Cub?

To reset your Cub, press all 3 buttons at the same time. Once you're in Cub Settings Screen, press “Right” button to reset your Cub. Before starting a new pairing process, please make sure to remove the Cub from your phone's Bluetooth Device list.
